Trimix Blender

The Trimix Blender - is designed to teach detailed technical information to students including applicable standards, equipment, safety when using oxygen, handling and cleaning for oxygen service, and the blending of Nitrox, Trimix, and Heliox using different blending techniques. ProTec has an in house blending station complete with booster pump, oxygen , and helium so blending is done here at the shop.

Most divers at this level of diving are searching knowledge on where the mixes come from and how does the whole thing work Any member of a diving facility that is dealing with, selling, or working around a Trimix Fill Station should enroll in this course to understand the liability, dangers, applications, and uses of these gases. Another reason for taking this course is if you are diving in a remote location and need to be self sufficient.

Prerequisites - 18 years of age with a Nitrox blender certificate from any recognized technical training agency and a Trimix Diver certificate. Must have a need to become a trimix blender. Be recommended by an instructor or a facility.

Course Description - During this course students will learn and practice how to mix and blend various Trimix mixtures using the partial pressure blending method. This course is designed as a one day program and can be conducted in conjunction with a Trimix Diver course. At the end of the course a final exam will be given.

After completion and certication of this course divers will be issued a certification card and wall certificate as well as being qualified to plan and safely mix various mixes of trimix.
